Nahal Tavor & Nahal Yissachar is one of the most beautiful and accessible off-road trails in northern Israel, especially suitable for jeep and 4X4 trips. The trail combines a relatively comfortable drive with open views, seasonal flowing water, and impressive stops suitable for both families and those seeking a relaxed but interesting off-road experience. An excellent trail for beginners, but experienced drivers will also enjoy the variety and scenery.
The trail combines driving along Nahal Tavor, lookouts near Kokhav HaYarden, and continuing through Nahal Yissachar.

How to Get to the Tavor Trail

From there, enter the red trail.
Tavor & Yissachar Route Description
The trail starts with a pleasant descent along Nahal Tavor on the red trail marking. This section is open and wide, with breathtaking valley views from every direction. The drive here is flowing and comfortable, without special challenges – perfect for warming up.
Further along you'll reach a point where the road is blocked. Here you switch to the green trail, cross Nahal Tavor, and continue toward Kokhav HaYarden – one of the most beautiful lookouts on the route.
Must Stop – Kokhav HaYarden Lookout
One of the most beautiful spots on the route. The lookout from here is breathtaking and worth every minute.
Recommended to stop:

• Enjoy the view
Continuing the Route
After understanding the route structure, we continue to the second section. From the lookout return to the red trail and descend south toward the Springs Valley, where you connect to Nahal Yissachar.
From there turn east on the blue marking and continue until:
